Sorry for the lack of information to date but still busy trying to organise contributors and caterers, not an easy job, so I am reluctant to give out too much information at present in case I have to make changes . We would also like to keep costs as near to 2008 as possible as we are aware of the expense of travelling up to Shetland and do not want to make the whole event too costly for you all. I am confident of a good line up for you as the contributors are always keen to come to Shetland and we do have on offer amazing places to kayak and the wildlife and scenery is something else

Shetland Canoe Club is organising a trip to Unst. The event takes place on 9,10,11,12th July 2010. Weather permitting you will have the opportunity to paddle to Muckle Flugga and Out Stack, the furthest north you can get in Britain. There’s amazing caves and arches to be explored, abundant wildlife and last summer one group paddled with a pod of killer whales and observed them close up during a feeding frenzy.
